Having a national networking group for franchise paralegals and administrators had been a dream of many in our profession.
Several years ago, Cynthia Gartman, CFE, organized a group of franchise paralegals and administrators in the Dallas Fort-Worth area for mutual education and networking. Cynthia then collaborated with Cheryl Babcock, CFE, Director of the International Institute for Franchise Studies at Nova University, and Joan Painter, CFE, President, Franchise Ventures, LLC, and other contributors, who brought the Franchise Administrators Network to its inception. Discussions followed with the International Franchise Association (IFA), the ABA Forum on Franchising, and franchise industry professionals to pursue opportunities for workshops, listservs and general networking.
